 When Alison and David Herridge founded the business in 2001, they were motivated by a heartfelt desire to make the process of buying batteries for hearing aids and cochlear implants stress-free and convenient.
Hearing Aid Batteries Express is based on the principle of service and quality. Hearing aid and cochlear implant users are spread all over Australia – from cities to remote areas. Our challenge is to deliver fresh batteries anywhere quickly. We not only sell batteries but provide assistance and information on the selection and use of batteries. Fortunately we live in a age where orders and enquiries can be made using a variety of means which suit individual personal and hearing preferences. At Hearing Aid Batteries Express, customers have the choice of ordering batteries by telephone via NRS, fax, email, internet or TTY (teletype telephone). Alison and David’s personal and professional experiences place them in a unique position of understanding the needs and experiences of hearing aid and cochlear implant users. Both were born profoundly deaf and wear hearing aids. David wears the cochlear implant. Alison has worked with people who are Deaf and hearing impaired. She also works as a trainer and has been on State and Federal Disability Councils. David works in the Human Resources department for a bank and was previously a committee member for the Cochlear Implant Club and Advisory Association (CICADA).
